Gift Ideas

Summer is most certainly wedding season! buying that toaster for the fiftieth time gets a little old. And not just for you- also for that lucky couple that is unwrapping their tenth (fill in the blank). I believe it is time for some new ideas all around- (thanks to real simple). Here we go:

1. Make the happy couple's wedding invitation into something special that they can display . For example, a pillow, a decorative plate, a painting...

2. If you're creative , create an original piece of artwork. If not, you can get a print from somewhere like Etsy and frame it in a pretty frame! This will make their home fresh, original and cute!

3. Something for him- perhaps a tool kit. Who couldn't use something like that as they get settled into their new space ? It's a fun way to make the groom happy and a useful gift, too!

4. Monogramms! You can do this for really anything. You could do towels, sheets, table cloths, napkins, or really anything fabric. They'll love it- in particular the bride! She will love seeing her new initials printed.

5. Get them a individualized gift certificate. Somewhere in town that the couple loves and in all probability wouldn't indulge in themselves.

6. Give them a(n) excuse for a datenight. Movies, restaurants, or activity gift certificates work fabulously .

7. And last but not least....a big fat check. It is expensive to get married and to begin a new home ...everyone appreciates this. Or even just some cash. There are a few times that it decidedly isn't tacky to give cash, and this is one of them.

I hope these examples can get you through the rest of your wedding season! Good luck finding those new and fresh gifts! If you need a time off , search our homes on  College Station Houses  or  Cedar Park Homes .

Peace,
